Particular issues may arise in the ascertaining of the state of the title to property, which are unique from other jurisdictions such as the United States and Canada.

Also, a number of general legal statutes may have a bearing on the development of a piece of property, such as the Maritime Zoning Law, which may not be annotated on the title to the property, as registered in the National Property Registry.

For these and other considerations which may not be apparent to an unsuspecting purchaser, the retaining of proper professional advisers is imperative.
