He never intended to fully retire as a chiropractor because he believes that “keeping interests and activities helps keep one alive.”

The primary challenge for this American trained chiropractor living in Costa Rica was the language. Prior to his arrival, his research indicated that there are several “pockets” of English speaking people and although Spanish was desirable, it was not essential.

Dr. Ricky Brown now believes that Spanish is essential but still cannot speak the language 🙂

The thing that chiropractor Dr. Ricky Brown loves most about practicing in Costa Rica is the people – “who have a unique love for learning” (and the 3rd highest literacy rate in the world). Since he is aware of many different alternative healing approaches that work, he enjoys discussing them.

Dr. Brown also believes that the “Ticos are gentle, peace-loving people who take a “PuraVida” approach to living” that he appreciates.

As a professional chiropractor with over 20 years professional experience, Dr. Brown says that “I love my profession and my work because I am able to help people with certain types of health problems get a new lease on life. Fibro-myalgia, Migraines, Allergies, and Scoliosis in particular.

A Personal Note From Scott – Founder of WeLoveCostaRica.com: Ricky is my personal chiropractor whom I see every single week and he keeps me flexible and healthy. I do recommend him and don’t forget to make sure he knows that Scott for WeLoveCostaRica recommended you, I may get a free adjustment.
